The Eudald Massana Noya winery is the fruit of the history of 9 generations of the Massana family dedicated to viticulture, working in body and soul to grow the land of the property.
The commitment of the Massana Noya family to the environment has always been one of the most outstanding values of its agriculture. For this reason, we work in an ecological and biodynamic viticulture.
Vineyard
30 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of Penedès, in Sant Pau d'Ordal (Subirats), where the variety of land on the estate, together with calcareous soils and minerality due to the influence of the sea, make the estate the winery in an ideal space for the elaboration of cava and high quality wines.
Viticulture
From the beginning they bet on an ecological and biodynamic cultivation (Demeter), converting these two forms of cultivation into a philosophy of work and a fundamental pillar of all the processes of the winery.
Organic farming allows full respect for the environment. The farm and the winery are registered in the CC PAE since 1999, a worldwide body that certifies that all the wines and cavas that are produced have this distinctive quality guarantee and are of organic production. The biodynamic cultivation, practiced from the origins by their ancestors, seeks the biological balance of plants and nature, taking into account the lunar phases and applying biodynamic preparations in the earth.
Grapes
On the farm white varieties are grown; macabeo, xarel.lo, parellada, chardonnay, muscat and viognier; and also red varieties: cabernet sauvignon, merlot, tempranillo, pinot noir, marselan and petit verdot. All of them contribute to the cellars and wines of the winery a personality and an own character, at the same time that they allow to experiment of continuous form to innovate with new products.
