Wine made with Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes from a single payment, in the Arlanza Designation of Origin. After a cool and rainy year, the 2016 vintage of this red, one of the most exclusive and limited of Olivier Rivière in Arlanza, is, in the opinion of Luis Gutiérrez, the best to date. This is demonstrated by the 95 Parker points it exhibits.

After working in various renowned wineries, and elbow-to-elbow with personalities from the world of wine (Elian da Ros, Fréderic Cossard, Domaine Leroy, Telmo Rodríguez…), the proyect of Olivier Rivière Vinos begins in the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja in 2006.
In 2009, the acquisition of old vines in altitude within the Denominación de Origen Arlanza, gives rise to the vinification of the cuvées “El Quemado”, “El Cadastro”, y “Basquevanas”.
It is the year following when the opportunity to buy "Alto Redondo", a plot of 0.3 has near Dicastillo (Navarra) from old Grenache.
Entry into Antoine Habera 2012 project, coincides with the purchase of two plots representing a surface area of 1.5 ha in the Rioja Alavesa. The first production of wines of origin of our property in La Rioja is the vintage 2013.
Location
In the heart of the Ebro Valley, and South of the Cantabrian mountains, the vineyards is located in La Rioja Alavesa 500m of altitude. They also buy grapes to other growers in the Rioja Alta and Baja.
Vineyard
The work in the vineyard renounces the use of herbicides and chemical fertilizers, which forces them to a frequent mechanical work of the soil. Treatments are performed exclusively based on biological products and are applied when strictly necessary.
The harvest is manual, and the vinification takes place without adding yeast.
Wines
Olivier Rivière Wines currently produces 80.000 bottles of three different denominations of origin.
