Viña Mambrilla is the winery of the Arranz family founded in 1999 in Mambrilla de Castrejón within the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero, their passion is to produce unique wines, the highest expression of the "terroir".
In Viña Mambrilla the wines are made with dedication and effort, pampering each process and letting the wine evolve naturally following the tradition left by their ancestors.
Using the traditional techniques of elaboration of our ancestors we have managed to create natural wines, with character and with a singular evolution that distinguishes them from the rest of Ribera del Duero wines.
Their wines reflect the unique character of the land from which they come and the essence of the family tradition.
Location
Viña Mambrilla is located in Burgos, in the municipality of Mambrilla de Castrejón.
Vineyard
Viña Mambrilla has 70 hectares of vineyard owned. The grape variety used is the Tinta del País or Tempranillo. The different plots are located between the 790 and 850 meters of altitude. The orientation of the plots is South - Southeast, which confers them a protection of the thermal contrasts characteristic of the Ribera del Duero.
The youngest vineyard plots range between 15 and 25 years old, compared to the oldest plots of vineyards of 80 and 100 years, with a low production but high quality dedicated to the production of the most exclusive wines, but also to the creation of new vineyard plots.
