Bodegas Nidia, wines made with passion and elegance, come from old vineyards in the heart of the Rueda Designation of Origin. Nidia is a mysterious and passionate woman and she is also the name of our project.

The philosophy of this project is to make special, authentic wines and, above all, 100% varietals. Nidia is the maximum expression of the varieties from which each wine comes and, above all, from the terroir from which it is born.

The work of a great wine always begins in the field, as we have always listened to our ancestors: "Just try not to spoil the raw material." 10 years ago Dani wanted to make his own wine.

He did it and, since then, he takes care of him, pampers him and does not stop adding value. The history of this vineyard begins in 1988 in LaCabaña, a family estate in which it was decided to bet on viticulture.

Vineyards

Nidia cannot be understood without this special setting of vineyards, planted in the 80s and 90s and, since then, cared for with dedication and care. Because they are aware that the basis of a great wine is to take maximum care of its origins: the countryside.

They take care of the vineyard every day with the differentiation of each vine, each area and each variety with which they work: Verdejo, Sauvignon blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Ground

The soil of La Cabaña, clayey with the presence of boulders, is rich in calcium.

In addition, not far away, the Adaja flows, the second most important tributary of the Duero on its left bank. Also the altitude of the vineyards, more than 770 meters, or the continental climate, with high thermal differences, are some of our secrets.

White wine is born. Its vineyards for more than 30 years, are differentiated in three Pagos; boat Briones, Mace and Montepedroso.
