After a long family tradition of more than 40 years, growing grapes and looking for the best quality of these. HACIENDA ALBAE in the year 2001 began to elaborate its own wines and put under review the quality of its different varieties in its vineyard. For five years he was doing this in two different wineries, in order to see the quality of the raw material of their grapes.
After this satisfactory test, HACIENDA ALBAE made a winery with the latest technology where it did not spare to make great wines and unique products in the area.
Currently after 10 years with the same processing team, we can say that they are in a state of maturity where they have clear the potential of each of their varieties and wines.
Location
It is one of the most recognized wineries of the D.O. Mancha, is located 700 meters in Argamasilla de Alba, Ciudad Real.
Soils and climate
With special characteristics of the floors; franc, clay-sandy, with other materials such as limestone, hard, marl and ocher clays. The microclimate and the particular behavior of the strains that are planted here favor that personalized profile.
Vibeyard
The large agricultural estate has as jewel in the crown the 200 hectares of vineyards planted in production, with some vines planted more than three decades ago.
Hacienda Albae is a fruit of a terroir, for the perfect adaptation of these varieties all certified to the specific microclimate of the area.
Grapes
Of French origin as red grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and white: Chardonnay and Viognier brought from Bordeaux and Burgundy by the owner himself many years ago, Syrah is native to the Rhone and Argentine Malbec.
