The Muscat grape, found on the slopes and valleys of volcanoes, is harvested manually once it has the desired maturity; quite mature, almost passed. A rigorous selection of the quality grapes is carried out and, subsequently, a pre-fermentation maceration in order to extract the greatest amount of varietal aromas possible and, in the process, moisten the possible raisins.

The Winery was built at the end of the 19th century by the Rijo family. In 1993 it was acquired by its current owners, the Melián family. Since then, the oldest viticulture traditions have been combined with the most advanced production technology in monitoring quality control.
This family winery is among the most visited wineries in Spain as it is located in a unique enclave such as La Geria, the wine-growing area par excellence of the island of Lanzarote. From the winery you can see unbeatable views of the vineyards planted in holes and dug into the sand and surrounded by a blanket of volcanic ash. At the same time, you can see the volcanoes of the Timanfaya National Park in the background.
