It began his journey with the dream of creating a new, different and surprising wine. He started from a land that no one believed in: poor, arid but rich in minerals, where the strain suffered. It implanted new strains, then not authorized, from the best French producing areas, which today makes it have some of the oldest strains of varieties as noble as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc...
During these more than 30 years, Bodegas Viña Magaña has managed to acquire more than 100 hectares of its own vineyard, from which the grapes for all its wines come, and a stock of between 900 and 1,000 French oak barrels.
For the production of its wines, it has modern facilities owned by the prestigious Navarrese architect, Rafael Moneo.
Its brands -Viña Magaña, Barón de Magaña, Dignus, Torcas and finally Calchetas-, are present in the commercial offer and in haute cuisine in more than 30 countries around the world and have been chosen by such prominent institutions and companies as the Royal House, the Iberia airline, the Sheraton and Intercontinental hotel chains, or personalities as important as the Dalai-Lama, during his stay in Spain; or Indurain to celebrate his victories in the Tour de France.
