We are facing one of the emerging talents of Champagne. Vicent Charlot is one of those people who are absolutely passionate about his work, who is also capable of infecting it within minutes of being with him.
Champagne Charlot-Tanneux is a small winery located in Mardeuil, just 3 kilometers from Epernay, in the Marne Valley. A family linked to viticulture generations ago. They have just over 4 hectares of vineyards in Mardeuil, Epernay and Moussy.
Vicent Charlot is the current owner and alma mater of this winery. Vigneron “total”, Biodynamic, a full-time viticulturist, one of those winemakers who if you want to see him you have to go to the vineyard and it is really difficult to meet him at big shows, fairs and presentations.
It applies Biodynamics to all its vineyards, certified by Demeter. Make your own compost, different depending on the different types of soils. He only applies treatments to his vines based on fermented plant extracts (infusions and decoctions). All this respecting the lunar calendar. Amppagne that clearly shows the style towards which this vigneron is advancing with this new 4 Elements range. 1 plot, 1 producer, 1 vintage and a grape varietal.
