Scientific and the large plantation of Albariño grape held at the farm of Tremoedo (Vilanova de Arousa, Pontevedra), became a model and example to follow for many farms in the area.
At the end of the 20th century, the wine Albariño was already a myth thanks both poets singing the thirst and the Cambadeses faith. Wines made from the Albariño grape, were highly valued and only drank on special occasions.
Consumption and distribution was an obscurantist adventure needed guidance and recommendation. Bottles, lacked the label and the small family wineries, despite his efforts, did not have the means or knowledge to offer reliable and stable wines. Since the establishment of our company, we were very restless and nonconformist: from the meticulous preparation of the vineyard, to the conditioning of the space where to accommodate bottled wines, through efficient processing facilities that they also meet the strictest hygiene parameters. Granbazán is a winery in the neoclassical style, is half-buried and oriented to the North, keeping fresh and consistent temperatures throughout the year.
The Pearl of vineyard, is beautiful Winery Granbazán, beautifying the environment, with strong influence of French Chateau, now covered in blue tiles, making a nod to the Galician Indian houses.
The former owners put great effort in planting and care of the vineyard, by selecting the best grapes from the time of collection; developing the concept of pre-fermentation maceration at cold, aging in French oak barrels first Albariño, respecting the environment and the local economy, and created a complete range of wines with different personalities from the same the Albariño grape.
