In 1986 Bodegas Martín Códax was born and takes the name of the most famous Galician troubadour whose cantigas are still preserved, the oldest of the Galician-Portuguese with original music, in which love and the sea that bathes its coasts is sung.
Since then, Bodegas Martín Códax has grown and evolved, always supporting its people, its land and its culture. A culture that is promoted by more than 40 countries around the world. A project that began with the enthusiasm and effort of a group of winegrowers and that today is already a reality that Bodegas Martín Códax has become an emblem of Galician wines outside and within our borders.
Vineyards
Located in small plots, they are characterized by using the traditional trellis system and are cared for with great care, following the advice of our technical viticulture staff to achieve the highest possible quality.
Winemakers
In 2005, Katia Álvarez took charge of the production and oenology management of Bodegas Martín Códax.
Luciano Amoedo, winemaker at Bodegas Martín Códax, is the ninth generation of a family entirely dedicated to the profession, promoter of the creation of D. O. Rías Baixas and founding partner of the winery.
