The wine is born from a careful selection of plots caressed by the sea, in the area of San Tomé in Cambados. Vineyards that grow at the mouth of the Umia, cultivated by winegrowers with a long seafaring and fishing tradition. The influence of the Arousa estuary and a granite soil forge its marked saline, iodized and Atlantic character.

In 1986 Bodegas Martín Códax was born and takes the name of the most famous Galician troubadour whose cantigas are still preserved, the oldest of the Galician-Portuguese with original music, in which love and the sea that bathes its coasts is sung.
Since then, Bodegas Martín Códax has grown and evolved, always supporting its people, its land and its culture. A culture that is promoted by more than 40 countries around the world. A project that began with the enthusiasm and effort of a group of winegrowers and that today is already a reality that Bodegas Martín Códax has become an emblem of Galician wines outside and within our borders.
Vineyards
Located in small plots, they are characterized by using the traditional trellis system and are cared for with great care, following the advice of our technical viticulture staff to achieve the highest possible quality.
