The Valquejigoso project is born of a great enthusiasm, a lot of effort, taking care of every detail, with the desire to progress and be better vintage after vintage. To do this, we experience and listen to what happens in the vineyard, analyzing each plot separately. And we want that in that walk that makes way you are involved and you accompany us.
Valquejigoso means "Valley of Quejigos". The Quejigo is a tree of the Quercus genus such as oak, oak or cork oak. Due to its concentration in this area, the site historically receives the name "Dehesa de Valquejigoso".

From 92, year in which the wine project is forged, the farm goes from being an important hunting ground for the European aristocracy, to a full-fledged winery. The planting of the first vines takes place in 1997 using the grafting method. Renowned French nurserymen like Renoux - essentially based in Bordeaux - contribute to the project and equipment specially come from the neighboring country to contribute their experience in the plantation "to horquillo", an ancestral method that requires a heavy manual labor.
