"With many years of experience as a winemaker for important Chilean and foreign wineries, I am responsible for making Baettig wines from the vineyard to the bottle."
Francisco

Vineyard
Los Suizos are 22 hectares of non-irrigated vineyard in the Malleco Valley, the geographic gateway to the Southern Region of Chile and Patagonia. Soil of volcanic origin and clayey texture, cold and rainy climate with little solar radiation make up an ideal terroir for the cultivation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
They feel a passion for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir together with a love for the land of their ancestors; more than a century later, it leads them to dream of making their own wine in these terroirs. Came Pure wines with a sense of place and high quality destined to become one of the references of Chilean wine.
“We want to make wines that excite and enchant due to their connection with the terroir where they originate; that the cold, the rain, the volcanic stone and the character of the people of Traiguén are reflected in fine, pure, austere wines with aging potential.”
Francisco Baettig and Carlos de Carlos
